Actresses including Gemma Chan, Andrea Riseborough, Jane Horrocks, Jaime Winstone and Laura Carmichael have teamed up with ActionAid to support its Safe From Harm Christmas appeal and star in a promotional video.

The video sees the actors sharing testimonies from four young female survivors of sexual violence in Zanzibar and Bangladesh, and is designed to 'shine a light' on the millions of girls who are exposed to sexual violence and exploitation. Chan commented 'ActionAid is transforming the lives of many girls who have suffered so much and I hope people will dig deep to protect and support these girls keeping them safe from harm'.
